Ally Sheedy Bio

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy was born in the US. Her first film role was in Bad Boys (1983). She then was a part of the Brat Pack and went to appear in the films WarGames, The Breakfast Club, as well as Short Circuit. Her performance in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art won her the Independent Spirit Award Best Female leading role. Sheedy wed David Lansbury on April 12 in 1992. David Lansbury was the father of Edgar Lansbury who produced Godspell and was the cousin of Angela Lansbury. They have one son, Beckett who was born in 1994. Sheedy admitted that she's learned a great deal from Beckett. Alexandra Elizabeth Ally Sheedy (born June 13, 1962) was an American film and stage actress in addition to the author of two books. She's known for the Bratpack film The Breakfast Club & St. Elmo's Fire. The Breakfast Club is the title of a John Hughes-directed film. The "Breakfast Club" title is an abbreviation used in some schools to refer to detention. Presumably, students would be arriving early, at breakfast time. It's the Next Generation. Sheedy now has "teacher' added to her impressive list of accomplishments. She has been teaching acting at City College in New York City and is enjoying teaching her students under her guidance.
